Community Visitation Guidelines

Effective Thursday, September 9, the California State regulatory change PIN 21-40 requires that all visitors must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or show proof of a negative COVID-19 test within the previous 72 hours, with extremely limited exceptions.*

These new guidelines apply to all current and prospective resident families and friends who may visit, as well as providers who service the community. Please bring your documentation to be reviewed by the concierge during the sign-in process.

Currently, the following may be accepted as documentation as defined by this state order:

  • COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & Prevention) or WHO Yellow Card, which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided, and date last dose administered

  • Photo of Vaccination Record Card as a separate document

  • Photo of Vaccination Record Card stored on a phone or electronic device

  • Documentation of COVID-19 vaccination from a healthcare provider

Both PCR and antigen tests are accepted, however, please note that home test results will not be accepted.

All visitors under the age of 12 who are not yet eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine must be tested within the prior 72-hour period and produce a negative test result to be eligible for visitation.

In addition, all visitors must wear masks at all times, regardless of vaccination status.

Any visitor who is not able to meet these requirements or otherwise comply with the new regulations will not be allowed entry into the community. Visitors who are not vaccinated are permitted to visit outdoors while maintaining six feet apart with no physical contact.

We will continue to monitor guidance from the state and will adjust our protocols accordingly. The Visiting Policy is based on the guidelines by the aforementioned & subject to change without any notice. Please remember that the Covid-19 guidelines in the community are different from a license facility. It is more strict in our facility due to the high vulnerability of elders.
